KINGSTON SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES A SEARCH FOR THE POSITION OF CONCERTMASTER
The Kingston Symphony, under the direction of Evan Mitchell, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Concertmaster.

Application Requirements and Process:

– Biography suitable for publication in program.
– Two professional letters of reference.
– An audio recording of the first movement of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3, No. 4, or No. 5.

Application materials must be received by Friday, January 17, 2020 at 5 p.m. (EST) after which applications will be reviewed by the audition committee. Invitations to audition will be sent out to qualified candidates no later than Monday, March 2, 2020. Only those selected for the short list will be contacted. A live audition will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Only candidates who are Canadian citizens or are eligible to work in Canada will be considered.

Season:
September to May, with some summer services.
(65 services scheduled for 2019-2020 concert season.)

Compensation:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(For the 2018-2019 season, the annual fee was approximately $30,000.)
