Thousands of books await

Thousands of books await

During the first two weeks of September, the Kingston Symphony Warehouse transforms into a literary haven, bustling with excitement and a shared passion for books. Volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this magical event to life. They spend months preparing for the Book Fair, meticulously sorting and categorizing thousands of donated books spanning a wide array of genres.

Beyond fundraising, the Book Fair fosters a sense of community by bringing everyone together, promotes literacy, and leaves a lasting impact on the city of Kingston. “In addition to our typically strong selections of mystery, fiction, and Canadiana, we have an unusually large collection of classic sci-fi as well as fantasy and horror this year,” says Tom Pynn, co-chair of the Book Fair. “With more books available than ever before, you will love perusing this selection.” Other categories include: Music, Collectibles, Children’s, Literature, Poetry, Military, History, Politics, Art, Architecture, Sciences, Biography, Health and Fitness, Self-help and DIY.
