As the summer sets in, we reflect with gratitude on the Kingston Symphony Association's 2024-2025 season. From our world-class performances to our community outreach to our education programming, none of it would have been possible without our incredible community of supporters. To see a full impact report for this past season, check the link at the bottom of this article.

What a season it was! With over 7,000 tickets sold to 16 unforgettable concerts — including three premieres of new works, performances that featured three talented guest conductors leading the orchestra and eight exceptional guest artists wowing us with their virtuosity — we hope we made a lasting impression, musically speaking. On the education side of things, we were proud to continue our longstanding outreach program, Share the Music, as well as relaunch our Discover the Symphony program that brings free children's concerts to public libraries. We also launched two new outreach programs this past year with our Harmony at Home initiative in retirement and long-term care homes, and relaxed performances for people in the Disability and Neurodiverse communities. Let's not forget about four Symphony Education Partnership concerts that brought joy to thousands of local area Grade 4 students — many experiencing live music for the first time.

Our constituent organizations like the Kingston Community Strings, Kingston Choral Society, and Kingston Youth Orchestra continue to thrive. They all had busy seasons with exciting performances around town at venues like The Spire, St. George's Cathedral, and Christ Church Cataraqui and at festivals like the Kingston Kiwanis Music Festival. Our volunteers at Kingston Symphony Volunteers continue to raise the bar on successful fundraising sales with bigger and better editions of the Book Fair, Vinyl Records Sale, and All Things Christmas, Gifts & Art Sale. Their sales were record-breaking and contributed $95,000 to support the Kingston Symphony Association!

Yes, it was a momentous season. It's upon reflecting that we appreciate everything we have and everything we've accomplished together. Whether you are an audience member, donor, volunteer or you attended one of our fundraising events, thank you for helping us to share the joy of live music in our city and beyond.
